Bakwan kaldu udang (shrimp stock vegetable fritter)

Bakwan is an Indonesian fried meal consisting of vegetables and batter. Bakwan usually refer to vegetable fritterThe ingredients is vegetables; usually beansprouts, shredded cabbages and carrots, battered and deep fried in cooking oil. In West Java bakwan is called as 'bala-bala'. In Kalimantan, bakwan usually called as ote-ote. 
It is so simple to make this snack. Additional shrimp stock make this snack more delicious. So, here the recipe.
Ingredients:
Instant bakwan batter
wheat flour
rice flour
spring onion, fine chopped
cabbage, fine chopped
carrot, fine chopped
shrimp stock
salt
mushroom bouillon powder
blackpepper powder

directions:
add all vegetables into a bowl
add instant bakwan batter, wheat flour and rice flour
add shrimp stock
add salt, mushroom bouillon powder and blackpepper powder
mix the all
deep fried in high heat

Bakso Bakar


Bakso Bakar (roasted Indonesian meatballs) is another way to enjoy Bakso. It is a simple snack so easy to make. 

Ingredients:
Bakso (Indonesian meatballs)
sweet soy sauce
sambals
tomato ketchup
salt and sugar
margarine

directions:
mix sweet soy sauce, sambals and tomato ketchup
stir fry the sauce with margarine
add salt and sugar as taste
add bakso
cook until bakso a little bit burn



Nasi goreng daun Katuk

Katuk leaves or star gooseberry leaves is mostly known as ASI (Air susu Ibu) booster or breastmilk booster. But actually this vegetable can be cooked as many dish including nasi goreng (fried rice), the most popular meal from Indonesia.
Katuk leaf itself is a good source of vitamin K. It also has high level of provitamin A carotenoids, vitamin B, vitamin C, protein and minerals. 

Ingredients:
white rice
shallot, fine chopped
garlic, fine chopped
blackpepper powder, salt and sugar
cooked chicken meat, shredded
katuk leaf, blended first
fried oil

directions:
stir fry with fried oil, shallot and garlic
add chicken meat
add white rice
add blended katuk leaf
add blackpepper powder, salt and sugar
mix them all
serve hot is better







Eggless no milk chocolate cupcake


Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup of wheat flour
1 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of chocolate powder
1/2 spoon of coffee powder (I use Gayo coffee)
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of mineral water
1/2 cup of oil
1 teaspoon of vanilli extract

directions:
boil mineral water, add coffee powder, mix
mix wheat flour with brown sugar, chocolate powder, baking soda, salt
add coffee solution
add oil and vanilli extract
mix them all using spatula
add into cupcake tray (I use small ramekin)
bake


no butter Choco Bolkus (Bolu Kukus)


Ingredients:
200 gr Wheat flour
300 gr castor sugar
2 eggs
150 ml fresh milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilli extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4 gr SP
25 gr chocolate powder

directions:
Mix all the ingredients using mixer
add into cupcake tray (or I use ramekin)
Steam




Nasi panggang bakso (Bakso Baked rice)


Ingredients:
White rice
Salt and blackpepper powder
garlic powder
big onion, fine chopped
egg
butter margarine
bakso (Indonesian meatballs) cut into pieces
grated cheddar cheese

directions:
stir fry with butter margarine, big onion
add bakso and white rice
add salt, blackpepper powder and garlic powder
add well shaken egg
mix them all
put the rice into baking plate
add grated cheddar cheese on the top
bake with microwave oven

sop bakso dan sayur (vegetable and meatball soup)

This is children food. Every kids love this food. when I was a kid, my mother always make this soup for me. Indonesian knows this simple recipe. People here love to cook this as daily meal.



Ingredients:
Meatball (bakso)
beef meat cut into small pieces
potato, cut into small pieces
carrot, cut into small pieces
spring onion, cut into pieces
celery, cut into pieces
fine spices: garlic, shallot, salt, pepper powder
sugar
margarine
mineral water

directions:
stir fry with margarine the fine spices
add mineral water
add beef meat, potato, carrot
cook until the ingredients is cooked
add meatball
add spring onion and celery
add sugar
cook until all ingredients is cookeed
serve hot

Ikan Trekulu Bumbu Kuning

Ikan Trekulu or in English called Giant Trevally is commonly consume salty water fish. In Balikpapan, where various fish is there. Trekulu is deserve to taste. This is the simple recipe to enjoy this predator fish.


Ingredients:
Ikan Trekulu (giant trevally)
shallot
garlic
candlenut
ginger
turmeric
shrimp paste
lemongrass
red chilli, cut into small pieces
salt and sugar
fried oil

directions:
make a smashed fine spices with salt, sugar, shallot, garlic, candlenut, ginger, turmeric and shrimp paste
stir fry with fried oil, add lemongrass
add red chilli
add ikan trekulu 
add mineral water
cook until the fish is cooked

Oseng Kikil Cabai Hijau (green chilli hooves stir fry)

What is kikil (beef hooves)? The horny sheath covering the toes or lower part of the foot of a mammal such as cow, horse and deer based on www.thefreedictionary.com. Even internationally, it's rare to cook, in Indonesia you will find various dish made from this part of cow.
This recipe is the simple how to cook kikil/beef hooves and of course delicious!

Ingredients:
Kikil sapi (beef hooves) cut into small pieces
sweet soy sauce
salt, sugar and pepper powder
shallot, fine chopped
garlic, fine chopped
green cayenne pepper, cut into small pieces
margarine
bay leaves

directions:
Stir fry with margarine, shallot, garlic and green cayenne pepper
add bay leaves and green cayenne pepper
add beef hooves, mix them all
add mineral water
add salt, sugar, pepper powder
add sweet soy sauce
mix them all and cook until the beef hooves is cooked
better serve hot with white rice

Botok Udang Jagung (Shrimp and corn botok)

Do you know botok? Botok is one of traditional javanese cuisine which usually using coconut shredded mix with other ingredient. Wrap with banana leaves and steam until it cooked make this dish is one of healthy dish. I love botok. As javanese, cooking botok is fun itself. Today I share how to make botok with shrimp and corn. I am not using coconut shredded this time, but still botok is delicious.


Ingredients:

Young sweet corn
shrimp
egg
spring onion, fine chopped
red chilli, fine chopped
red cayenne pepper, fine chopped
salt and sugar
lime leaves
lemongrass, fine chopped
shallot, fine chopped
garlic, fine chopped
coriander
candlenut
red tomato, chopped
lime juice
pepper powder
banana leaves

directions:
wash the shrimp, add lime juice to make it not fishy
make smashed fine spices with shallot, garlic, red chilli, red cayenne pepper, lemongrass, coriander, candlenut, pepper powder and lime leaves
Blend the corn, shrimp, egg and the fine spices
add spring onion, salt and sugar
add tomato and then mix them all
add the botok into banana leaves and wrap it
steam for about 15 minutes




Tumis Labu Siam Udang Rebon (chayote and terasi shrimp stir fry)


Ingredients:
chayote, cut into match. Add salt and remas until chewy. Wash with clean water
Terasi shrimp
Red chilli cut into small pieces
shallot, fine chopped
garlic, fine chopped
bay leaves
sugar, mushroom bouillon powder
oyster sauce

directions:
stir fry shallot, garlic and red chilli
add bay leaves
add terasi shrimp
add chayote
add mineral water
add sugar, mushroom bouillon powder and oyster sauce
cook until thicken and all ingredients is cooked

No additional emulsifier chocolate cake

Who doesn't love chocolate cake? I am fans of them. Chocolate is my guilty pleasure. I love all the kind of chocolate. For me, it tastes heaven. And I start to love baking. I am beginner in the baking theme. I usually love steamed cake. It work for me even for the first time. But baking? Lots of fail. But can't stop me to bake. 
Well, chocolate cake. Hmm.... from classic to modern chocolate cake is available in bakery. Because this is my first time to make chocolate cake (baking version because I do steamed one). I try to make a simple one with no additional emulsifier and I just use my microwave oven. Here the recipe.

Ingredients:
3 eggs
120 gr sugar
80 gr wheat flour
50 ml of milk ( i use creamer milk and warm mineral water)
20 gr choco powder
30 gr melted margarine

directions:
mix milk, choco powder and melted margarine
mix with mixer, egg and sugar until stiff and fluffy
add wheat flour little by little
add milk, choco powder and margarine
mix them all
pour the dough into glass container
bake with microwave oven
sprinkle with castor sugar on the top

White bread cheesecake


Cheesecake is a sweet dessert consisting of one or more layers. The main, and thickest layer, consists of a mixture of soft, fresh cheese (typically cream cheese or ricotta), eggs, and sugar; if there is a bottom layer it often consists of a crust or base made from crushed cookies (or digestive biscuits), graham crackerspastry, or sponge cake.[1] It may be baked or unbaked (usually refrigerated). Cheesecake is usually sweetened with sugar and may be flavored or topped with fruitwhipped creamnuts, cookies, fruit sauce, and/or chocolate syrup. Cheesecake can be prepared in many flavors, such as strawberrypumpkinkey lime, chocolate, Oreo, chestnut, or toffee.

This cheesecake using white bread as main ingredients. Combination of white bread, milk and grated cheddar cheese make this simple dessert taste like original cheesecake. One of easiest way to enjoy cheesecake.

Ingredients:
No skin White bread
Fresh milk
grated cheddar cheese
vanilli
egg
agar-agar powder
sugar
lemon juice
grated lemon rind
blueberry jam for topping

directions:
blended white bread and fresh milk
add grated cheddar cheese
add sugar, agar-agar powder, egg and vanilli
add lemon juice and lemon rind
mix them all
add the dough into ramekin
steam for 25 minutes
add blueberry jam on the top of cheesecake


Potato and carrot cream soup


Ingredients:
Potato
Carrot
Butter
Garlic, fine chopped
big onion, fine chopped
milk
mineral water
mushroom bouillon powder
lemon juice

directions:
Stir fry with butter, garlic and big onion
add mineral water and mushroom bouillon powder
add potato and carrot which already cut into small pieces
add milk and lemon juice
cook until all ingredients is cooked
blended
serve with mini garlic bread

Pempek Nasi Udang Rebon (Terasi shrimp rice pempek)


Ingredients:
Rice
wheat flour
garlic powder
salt
mushroom bouillon powder
mineral water
terasi shrimp, roasted and smashed
egg
fried oil
tapioca flour

directions:
mix rice, wheat flour, garlic powder, salt, mushroom bouillon powder, mineral water and terasi shrimp
cook in small heat
add well shaken egg, fried oil and tapioca flour
mix all the ingredients
shape the dough as taste
fry with medium heat
